About Me

 

Laurel: "independent, mysterious" (English)

Sweet little Laurel Heather was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was raised by her parents Charlene and Randy in North Versailles, PA where her younger brother Darren and sister Heidi were born. At the age of five, she moved to North Huntingdon, PA where she attended Stewartsville Elementary, Norwin Middle School East and Norwin Senior High. Laurel was one of the top 20 graduates of the class of 2002, with activities such as NHS, Vice-Pres. of Interact Club, SCAF, French Club, Science Challenge Squad, President of Science Research Team, AEONS Literary Magazine, tutoring in pre-calc, physics, French, and Calculus.

She now attends Penn State University in University Park, PA and plans to graduate in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (Construction Management Option) and Minor in Engineering Leadership Development. Laurel is also doing correspondense training to become a LEED Accredited Professional and a Professional Real Estate Appraiser.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants.
